How to Make Rice Bamboo with Chicken

Rice bamboo
Rice bamboo is one of unique dish that you can try. Probably it sound strange for you but it will give you great sensation. You will taste delicious rice with other ingredients. It can be chopped of chicken, mushroom, carrot, or others. And here is how to make rice bamboo with chicken.

  1. Rice, 500 gram (washed and then strained)
  2. Salt, ½ tablespoon
  3. Bay leaf, 3
  4. Lemon grass, 2 rods
  5. Coconut milk, 600 ml
  6. Red shallot, 6 (chopped finely)
  7. Broth block, 1 teaspoon
  8. Oil, 6 tablespoon
  9. Banana leaf, (used for wrapping)
Ingredients to make content of rice bamboo
  1. Chicken meat, 150 gram (chopped 2 x 2 x 2 cm)
  2. Small shrimp, 100 gram (washed and then fried)
  3. Garlic, 3 (chopped)
  4. Red hot chili pepper, 2 (chopped diagonally)
  5. Green hot chili pepper, 2 (chopped diagonally)
  6. Salt, 1 teaspoon
  7. Sugar, 1 teaspoon
  8. Water, 100 ml
  9. Broth block, 1 teaspoon
  10. Oil, 4 tablespoon
  1. Fried tofu
  2. Fried chicken, spicy dish
  3. Bamboo, 15 cm (soaked in the water and then cleaned) or aluminum foil
Directions to make content of rice bamboo
  1. Prepare cooking pan and heat oil.
  2. Sauté garlic and then add green and red hot chili pepper. Stir it well
  3. Add chicken meat and stir it until the color changing.
  4. Pour water and cook it until thick and seasoning absorbed by chicken meat.
  5. Add the rest seasoning and stir it again. Remove and set aside.
Direction to make rice bamboo
  1. Heat oil and then fry red shallot.
  2. Pour coconut milk, bay leaf, lemon grass, salt, broth block and cook it until boiled.
  3. Add rice and stir it again.
  4. Let it cooked until coconut milk absorbed by rice then remove it.
  5. Steam rice for about 20 minutes or until done. Remove it.
  6. Take a sheet of banana leaf. Put rice and content of rice bamboo.
  7. Wrap it and lock the edge of banana leaf with a pin.
  8. Put the rice into bamboo. Then roast until it has good smell. Remove it.
  9. Rice bamboo is ready.
